This role is ideal for a civil engineering professional with a strong background in the public sector and demonstrated success managing projects who is looking to further expand their leadership impact and technical oversight.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing complex community development projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and company performance goals.

The successful candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in municipal engineering, along with proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex community development projects from planning through completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, schedules, budgets, and corporate performance goals.
  • Oversee high value projects, maintaining accountability for successful delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and delegate project tasks across technical staff and project teams while ensuring execution aligns with scope, schedule, and budget targets.
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and junior staff, fostering team growth and strengthening project delivery capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, collaboration with construction management teams, and consistent delivery of high-quality service.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development, opportunity identification, and cross-selling of services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with demonstrated success managing municipal capital improvement projects.
  • Experience managing a range of municipal projects, including roads, drainage, water, sewer, parks, and public facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to municipal engineering and public works construction.
  • Solid understanding of stormwater management, permitting processes, and infrastructure asset management practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering/design software.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination skills in a fast-paced project environment.

T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $145,000-$170,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
