Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer supports the development,implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes,equipment, and products. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager,this role is responsible for optimizing production methods, supporting newproduct launches, improving efficiency and quality, and ensuring safe,cost-effective manufacturing operations. The Manufacturing Engineercollaborates with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence andachieve company objectives. This position reports directly to the ManufacturingEngineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Development
  • Developand implement manufacturing methods, processes, and technologies for newand existing products.
  • Analyzeengineering drawings and specifications to establish optimal manufacturingprocesses.
  • Createtooling concepts, process flow layouts, and manufacturing plans.
  • Designand support tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
  • Evaluateequipment capacity and manufacturing resource requirements.
New Product Introduction
  • Launchnew products into manufacturing.
  • Participatein prototype builds and production startup activities.
  • Establishmanufacturing standards and process documentation.
  • Supportsuccessful transition from development to production.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing
  • Identifyand implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, andcost.
  • Participatein Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and Lean initiatives.
  • Improvemanufacturing efficiency, cycle time, and process flow.
  • Implementbest practices and standardized work procedures.
  • Monitorprocess performance and recommend corrective actions.
Project Management
  • Managemultiple manufacturing projects simultaneously.
  • Ensureprojects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Reviewmanufacturing plans, specifications, and process requirements.
  • Coordinateactivities with engineering, operations, and external suppliers.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
  • Investigateand resolve manufacturing process issues.
  • Troubleshootproduction equipment and tooling concerns.
  • Supportroot cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Recommendrepair, replacement, or redesign of manufacturing processes and products.
Collaboration & Training
  • Workclosely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Providemanufacturing engineering support during project and production meetings.
  • Trainand mentor employees on manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Supporta team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel is required up to 25% and may include visitsto other company facilities, projects, training events and cross-functionalcollaborations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering,Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technicaldiscipline.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of LeanManufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Leanmethodologies and leading operational improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with project management and productioncost analysis.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and continuous improvementmethodologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communicationskills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and workeffectively in a fast-paced environment.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding whencarrying out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to create, read, and accurately interpretdocuments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage situations involving multiple variables and changing priorities.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings intoactionable process improvements.
Physical Demands
  • Perform movements such as climbing, balancing,stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to20 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and theability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods whilesupporting manufacturing operations.
  • Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, and feel.
Work Environment

The position is primarily office-based withregular involvement in the manufacturing plant. Required personal protectiveequipment (PPE) and all plant safety procedures must be followed while inproduction areas.
