Position Overview

Perimeter Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction and fencing projects from planning through closeout. This role manages schedules, budgets, crews, subcontractors, materials, client relationships, quality, safety, and overall project execution.

The ideal candidate is an organized, solutions-oriented leader with strong construction project management experience and knowledge of commercial fencing, perimeter security, and installation practices.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and track projects from start to finish.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, material requirements, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, materials, and equipment.
  • Manage 5–8 projects simultaneously, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Resolve field issues and manage delays, weather, emergencies, and unforeseen conditions.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including logs, photos, RFIs, schedules, and updates.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare closeout documents, warranties, punch lists, and other required deliverables.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Monitor labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overall job profitability.
  • Conduct cost analysis and prepare estimates, proposals, and change orders.
  • Submit accurate change-order pricing within required timelines.
  • Monitor financial performance and take corrective action as needed.

Client & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate project progress, schedules, changes, expectations, and concerns.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Provide customer-first service and promptly resolve issues.
  • Hold subcontractors and vendors accountable for performance, quality, safety, and timelines.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, cost overruns, and safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications, company standards, and customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience preferred.
  • Commercial construction experience; fencing, perimeter security, civil, or utility experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial fence products, styles, and installation techniques preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, scopes, and contracts.
  • Experience with estimating, job costing, budgeting, scheduling, and change orders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, estimating and project management/scheduling software, and online bidding portals.
  • PMP, CCM, DBIA, CQM, ACI, or comparable certifications are highly desirable.
