We are searching for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Interior Designer to serve at our St. Louis studio. In this role, you will provide leadership in interior design and project planning, taking charge of complex initiatives while fostering meaningful client engagement throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

What You'll Do:

  • Focus on improving project results, including client satisfaction, design leadership, quality, staff engagement and project profitability.
  • Apply core processes, design tools, project management systems, and technology to ensure consistent and high-quality project delivery across the team.
  • Oversee the creation of innovative design solutions, preparation of documentation, and the seamless delivery of executable projects.
  • Manage the Interiors studio as a business while cultivating a supportive and collaborative workplace. Prioritize staff supervision, communication, and organizational consistency to create a resilient and adaptable team.
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives that advance knowledge and skills, such as training programs and team meetings. Regularly monitor business metrics - such as utilization, profitability and revenue projections.
  • Mentor and support team members, sharing lessons learned and fostering discussions around design quality, project challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Instill accountability in project staffing, delivery, and client relationships - empowering your team to take ownership of their work.
  • Partner with design leaders to elevate the quality of design on all projects, leveraging innovative design technologies and fostering creative solutions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to review studio capacity, client expectations, feedback and backlog, while working together to pursue new opportunities and deliver outstanding services.

Education and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA Accredited Program
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in the design industry including construction documentation and field observation
    • Experience with projects focused on Healthcare, Higher Education and/or Lab Design preferred
  • Professional Licensure/Certifications: NCIDQ Certification preferred
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Teams environment, including Co-Pilot, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Large Language Models (LLM's), familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred; Architecture CAD, Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam; Graphic Software: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other transformative design tools.
