Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Project Manager coordinates and assists in delivering capital improvement and campus construction projects. Responsibilities include scope development, budgeting, design review, procurement, construction coordination, and project closeout while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and institutional standards.

Job Duties

  • 100% - CAPITAL PROJECT SUPPORT Assist in development of project scope, programming documents, and budgets, and participate in coordination between campus, TBR, designers, and engineers. Review plans, specifications, and design documents for accuracy, constructability, and alignment with campus operational and maintenance needs; provide recommendations as appropriate. Monitor construction progress and perform site observations Assist in review of change orders Assist with project closeout and documentation CAMPUS PROJECTS (NON-CAPITAL) Meet with stakeholders to define project needs and scope Develop preliminary plans or layout concepts Assist with finishes, materials, and equipment selection Prepare scopes of work and manage bidding or quote processes. Oversee project execution and contractor coordination Ensure completion within scope, budget, and schedule Assist with movement and installation of furniture and equipment GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Support multiple projects concurrently Maintain project documentation and provide status updates to the Director of Physical Plant. Perform site inspections to verify quality, safety, and compliance. Conduct periodic assessments of campus facilities to identify improvement needs and assist in developing and prioritizing projects for planning and budgeting. Assist with Physical Plant operations and special projects Perform other duties as assigned - (Essential)

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree required.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in construction, facilities, or project coordination
Working knowledge of construction practices and building systems
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, facilities management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience with capital project development and budgeting
Experience with higher education facilities and/or as a building owner representative.
Familiarity with codes and regulations
Experience with project management software
Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in both office and field environments with exposure to construction conditions.

Pay Rate: $56,079-$70,099  Annual salary determined based on eligible experience and defined by the current compensation plan.
