Overview

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead heavy civil construction projects focused on data center infrastructure and federal/government sites. In this role, you will oversee the full project lifecycle—from preconstruction through closeout—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in large-scale environments and has strong experience with site development, mass grading, underground utilities, and complex infrastructure projects.


What You’ll Be DoingProject Management & Execution
  • Lead heavy civil construction projects including site development, excavation, grading, drainage, and underground utilities
  • Manage projects from planning and scheduling through execution and final closeout
  • Ensure all work is completed on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Track progress, manage milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Data Center & Federal Projects
  • Oversee civil scopes for hyperscale and colocation data center builds
  • Work closely with federal agencies and project stakeholders to meet regulatory and contract requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all security, access, and documentation standards required on federal sites
Contract & Financial Management
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and supplier relationships
  • Handle RFIs, change orders, pay applications, and project reporting
  • Monitor project costs and proactively identify and mitigate risks
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead and support project teams including engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, design teams, and government representatives
  • Coordinate across civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical teams to keep projects moving efficiently
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Enforce safety standards including OSHA and federal guidelines
  • Identify risks early and drive solutions to keep projects on track
Preconstruction & Estimating
  • Support preconstruction planning, estimating, and value engineering efforts
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure constructability and efficiency

What You BringRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or project management in a leadership role
  • Experience delivering large-scale site development projects ($10M+)
  • Experience supporting federal projects and/or data center construction
Technical Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, utilities, and drainage systems
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and permitting processes
  • Experience using project management tools such as Bluebeam and Procore
Core Skills
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
