Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, hardworking, and reliable Electrical Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the electrical projects and ensure they progress on schedule, procuring and tracking materials, various submittals, assigning crew, using Procore for project tracking, and ensure project is within budget. The ideal candidate is experienced in the electrical trades and has a proven track record of successful electrical projects. Travel may be occasional (up to 30-40%) and required for system startups, commissioning, on-site supervision, or other needs of the company.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and mitigate any potential issues that may arise
  • Lead and manage all phases of electrical construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout
  • Serve as the electrical subject matter expert, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and decision-making support to field teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved on time
  • Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and profitability analysis
  • Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure full project scope compliance
  • Coordinate closely with engineers, owners, general contractors, and internal teams to define project requirements and execution strategy
  • Lead and support the preparation of project estimates, bid packages, and quoting solicitations, including reviewing plans, performing takeoffs, and developing accurate pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
  • Generate bid packages for subcontractors to bid, ensuring scope of work, project duration plus other details are captured in the solicitation
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure best value and alignment with project requirements
  • Manage procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency
  • Prepare, review, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation using platforms such as Procore
  • Lead field teams by assigning work, setting expectations, and ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and third-party contractors
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), project specifications, and applicable local/state regulations and utility standards
  • Travel may be occasional (up to 30-40%) and mandatory. A company vehicle will be used to travel to site.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, promoting a strong safety culture on all job sites
  • Monitor labor utilization and productivity, making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget and schedule
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost impacts
  • Conduct regular site visits, using a company vehicle, to verify progress, quality of work, and adherence to plans and specifications
  • Lead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, progress updates, and closeout reviews
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on project status, financials, and key performance indicators to AG Solutions leadership
  • Manage project closeout activities including commissioning and testing, punch lists, as-built documentation, and final inspections
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts by providing input on labor, material costs, and electrical constructability
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, project management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Electrical Foreman/Supervisor
  • Project management certification (PMP) is preferred
  • Travel may be occasional (up to 30-40%) and mandatory. A company vehicle will be used to travel to site.
  • Deep understanding of electrical project management methods and processes
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical construction methods, National Electrical Code, and electrical materials
  • Strong leadership and crisis resolution skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and construction management software such as Procore
