Job Title: Project Manager (Case Manager in Legal Industry)

Salary Range: $62,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Job Type: Full-time

Apex Class Action, LLC is a rapidly growing class action administration firm based in Irvine, California. We specialize in administering settlements for wage and hour, data breach, and consumer class actions. Our team is dedicated to precision, efficiency, and providing exceptional support to our clients throughout the settlement lifecycle.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager (Case Manager in Legal Industry) to join our team. 

Please note that this role focuses on administering legal cases related to Class Action Settlements. Experience in CPG or product-based product management is not directly applicable to this position.

While prior project management experience is not required, candidates with legal experience particularly as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal are strongly preferred.

This role is fully on-site at our Irvine office.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and execute tasks outlined in Settlement Agreements
  • Independently manage all phases of the settlement lifecycle, including:
    • Noticing
    • Class member support
    • Disbursement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients (e.g., attorneys) and:
    • Obtain approvals
    • Resolve data discrepancies
    • Incorporate edits to Court documents
    • Ensure prompt responses and request additional information as needed
    • Coordinate with internal teams (data, mailing, disbursement, website development) to ensure timely and accurate execution of settlement tasks
    • Identify and resolve nuanced problems resulting from claims adjudication

Skills & Requirements 

Legal Experience

  • 1–3 years in the legal field, preferably as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant

Clear Communication

  • Ability to write articulate, concise, and professional emails to attorneys

Strong Memory

  • Excellent ability to retain and recall detailed case-related information

Reading Comprehension

  • Strong understanding of Court documents, including Settlement Agreements and Court Orders
  • Ability to integrate attorney feedback into work product

Attention to Detail

  • Accuracy in documentation, data verification, and task execution

  • Capable of smoothly switching between multiple matters and priorities
