Job description

Finance operation as a strategic enabler and partner for Finance organization by embedding automation, standardization, and advance analytics across core Finance processes. Through disciplined project management, aligning & enabling activation on companywide Finance data and reporting strategies , Integrating E2E processes, and building Finance Center of Excellences (CoEs). The Team drives end-to-end process integration, strengthen governance, and data-driven decision support by fostering collaboration, innovation, and skill growth. Finance operation accelerates outcomes aligned with CFO/CEO strategic priorities.

Our Finance operation member accountable for executing process automation , ensuring data accuracy, and implementing standardized processes across Finance. Team support projects and processes delivery through effective planning , collaboration and risk management while driving analytics to enable timely and data driven decisions. Team leads continuous improvement, implement strong governance and seamless execution of finance priorities aligned with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Engage the business teams globally and gather & document business requirements for various initiatives/ projects.

  • Interpret business needs relating to accounting processes and pro-actively take steps to resolve issues/ potential issues

  • Prepare High Level Design and work with cross application / IT teams to finalize the detailed design for various requirements/ initiatives

  • Prepare Project Plan, Unit/ Integration Test Plans, Test scripts

  • Escalate Risks and Critical issues and work on mitigation to deliver the initiatives

  • Prepare Training Documents, UAT and coordinate Training/ UAT

  • Be involved and be integral to the delivery of the initiatives end to end, through all phases of the Project SDLC.

  • Be the key liaison between the Business and the IT teams/ Cross application Teams and facilitate delivery of the initiative on time and on budget

  • Oversee BAU support for accounting processes

  • Support Month end/ Quarter End / Year End Accounting close

What we are looking for

  • College Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science;

  • Experience using formal project management and process improvement tools and techniques. (PMP and/or Six Sigma certification highly desired)

  • Strong accounting process knowledge. Preferably in Insurance or Financial Services Industry

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Strong Knowledge of SAP, SAP FICO, ERP implementations and Support

  • Project Management skills, especially in SAP Finance projects in financial services industry

  • Experience in working with cross application teams and offshore Teams

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Expertise in Month end accounting processes - FX, Allocation etc.,

  • Understanding of SAP GL integration with SAP sub-ledgers and external systems

  • Knowledge of Report generation in SAP BW, BOBJ, Power BI etc.,

For positions based in Connecticut and New Jersey the base salary range is $ 76,000-95,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
