Zayo serves wireless and wireline carriers, media, tech, content, finance, healthcare and other large enterprises.

The Manager of Project Delivery - East Region will be responsible for directing the overall performance of dark fiber deployments within the East region, supporting Arium wireless implementation projects. The Manager will lead a team of capable and skilled project managers.

For all projects being managed by their respective project managers, the Manager of Project of Delivery is responsible for ensuring that Zayo's financial objectives and key performance indicators are achieved, and that Zayo's execution of external customer deliverables are met.

Responsibilities

  • Upon contract execution, delegate new projects to team members and convey initial project analysis to ensure the PM's have clear direction to successfully implement the scope of work for assigned projects.

  • Collaborate with Operational Department leads to prioritize projects based on customer requirements, revenue targets and resource availability.

  • Ensure all team members are effectively communicating project statuses, milestones, and customer deliverables on a routine basis.

  • Develop a relationship and serve as an escalation point of contact for Arium as well as Zayo Operational management. Must have an overall view on the projects ensuring that issues are raised quickly and addressed from a technical and operational perspective.

  • Contribute to workflow enhancement initiatives for internal operational teams within Zayo's systems.

  • Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely delivery, and monitor budgets for all assigned projects.

  • Collaborate with Regional teams, strong communication for process & KPI updates.

  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of customer contracts and customer expectations.

  • Measure projects performance using systems and reporting tools.

  • Ensure that system data is accurate, timely, and complete.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree, Industry specific certifications.

  • Five to seven (5-7) years equivalent telecom industry experience. Experience managing off-site teams strongly preferred

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Understanding of project budgets, budget management, project controls and risk registers

  • Understanding of capex spend and field forecasting

  • Understanding of OSP/ISP construction

  • Understanding of customer installation, test and turn-up procedures

  • Ability to understand new and emerging networking technologies

  • Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals including requirement definition, resource scheduling, risk mitigation and change management.

  • Demonstrate experience in managing multiple team members to deliver time-sensitive projects.

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management with agility to adapt approach to satisfy customer's needs.

  • Ability to understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues related to fiber deployments

  • Strong ability to lead a team thru goal setting, prioritization & performance measuring to achieve Zayo objectives.

  • Strong computer skills, especially Oracle, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc. ServiceNow. Experience using Sitetracker is a plus.

  • Experience presenting to management and peer audience

Estimated base salary range: $100,000-$121,400 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
