Position Overview
Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Low Voltage Systems Project Manager in Canton, GA.
Weโ€™re looking for a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager with proven experience installing a wide range of low voltage systems. The candidate must have verifiable experience managing projects with Structured Cabling, Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Intrusion systems. Experience with A/V, Fire Alarm and PA amp; Sound system projects is a plus. A candidate with the RCDD credential is required.

This Project Manager will be able to thoroughly Scope all project requirements, will have some additional estimating experience and be capable of working with an Estimating Department. This is an ideal position for a Project Manager looking to showcase their skills on fast-paced and complex projects.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
  • Complete and submit all required task-related activities and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Assist Estimating Department with bids and quotes.
  • Use test equipment to certify cabling and wiring faults.
  • Ability to operate safely and promote a safety culture within the organization.
  • Initiate Change Orders with customers as needed.
  • Ensure work is tracked properly to complete Change Orders and obtain customer approval.
  • Ability and willingness to manage projects with night shift work as required by the project.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 40-50%, primarily in the Southeast US.
Qualifications
  • Diverse knowledge of Structured Cabling (Cat5, Cat6/6A, fiber optic), Access Control System, Wireless System, PA amp; Sound, Intrusion Detection and CCTV System.
  • The ability to obtain Security Clearances as needed for federal projects.
  • Quality-oriented amp; self-motivated with a โ€œSafety Firstโ€ mentality.
  • Ability to present self in a professional manner and represent the company image
  • Ability to read and interpret low voltage plans
  • Ability to Scope project requirements and quote small to mid-sized projects
  • Candidate should demonstrate a strong knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA) and must have a proven track record of working with all trades on construction sites to appropriately schedule daily activities.
  • Quality-oriented amp; self-motivated with a โ€œSafety Firstโ€ mentality
  • Minimum OSHA-10 Certification and RCDD Credential
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software (primarily Excel, Outlook email), Bluebeam and Fluke
  • Physical Requirements:
    • The ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
    • The ability to transfer 100 lbs. 12 feet with the help of another person
    • The ability to work outdoors in diverse environments
    • The ability to ascend and descend ladders and other elevated structures
    • Must be able to work from heights from an elevated aerial device
