Job description

Our client is a growing commercial and institutional construction firm based in South Florida. As they continue to expand, they're looking for an organized, accountable, and proactive Project Manager to join their team.

Position Summary

The Project Manager will manage commercial and institutional construction projects in the $1M to $5M range. Strong preference for candidates with experience managing projects from preconstruction/turnover through closeout, and for candidates with South Florida construction experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial and institutional construction projects ranging from $1M to $5M from preconstruction/turnover through closeout.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and manage contracts, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Oversee procurement and materials management.
  • Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to monitor project status and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Manage project closeout, including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear, proactive communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing commercial and institutional construction projects in the $1M to $5M range.
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction/turnover through closeout strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore).
  • Organized, accountable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
