Job description

Position Summary:
The Richmond Campus Producer leads all aspects of production for worship services, events, and ministry initiatives at Southland’s Richmond Campus. This position is responsible for building, equipping, and partnering with a volunteer team while ensuring a high level of excellence in audio, video, and lighting execution. In partnership with campus staff and the central Production Team, this role helps plan and execute services and events that support Southland’s mission of helping people find and follow Jesus.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
  • Execute Weekend services
  • Weekly collaboration with the Worship Pastor on stage setup, service details, and other service elements.
  • Execute and ensure weekly audio, video, and lighting setup in your venue.
  • Oversee service production process including communicating details and expectations before rehearsals, executing rehearsals, and providing post service follow-up.
  • Lead weekly service walkthrough to equip staff and volunteers to execute their roles.
  • Recruit, Train and Lead Volunteer Production Team
  • Recruit and onboard new volunteers to the production team
  • Schedule volunteer team on a four-month rotation
  • Mentor individuals in the areas of audio, video and lighting
  • Regular communication with volunteer team
  • Pastor and shepherd individual team members
  • Collaborate with the full Production Team
  • Collaborate to plan stage designs, special lighting and video elements
  • Work with our central team to execute large church-wide events
  • Grow in your live production skills alongside the team by participating in training opportunities and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the campus team
  • Support local campus events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the campus team members
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Preferred Skills:
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of audio, video, and lighting systems
  • Ability to build an audio mix in accordance with Southland's audio standards
  • Strong evaluation skills with ability to do an honest self assessment
  • Ability to perceive what meets or misses standards in a live service and to take initiative to meet needs as they arise in real-time
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple services and events simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Planning Center Services
  • Familiarity with Yamaha audio consoles, MA3 Lighting consoles, and Ross video switchers
