Job description

Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Construction Laborer will work directly within the Construction Department in his or her regional location of the company, and work around upgrades of existing facilities and new construction projects. While the role will primarily remain regional, some overnight travel within the worker's individual state and outside the state, may be required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Complete construction tasks as directed by the Construction Manager. This may include both interior and exterior projects, climbing onto ladders, working in moderately confined spaces, and in temperature variances.
  • Work with other construction team members on allocations of duties, such as rotating tasks as needed on a particular project.
  • Complete tasks outsides of the construction area as needed by Rose Acre Farms - this may include projects such as mowing, packing eggs, moving snow, haul-out.
  • Complete daily construction tasks and report issues to the supervisor on any task that cannot be completed within the project time line.
  • While the role will primarily remain regional, some overnight travel within the worker's individual state and outside the state, may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • High School education or GED is preferred.
  • Ability to stand for significant periods and to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and competently operate basic construction tools.
  • Preferred ability to understand how to follow basic verbal instructions in English

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
  • Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
  • Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
