Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a strategic enterprise data initiative on a part-time basis. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced consultant, semi-retired Project Manager, or professional between engagements looking for a flexible schedule while leading a high-impact technology project. The ideal candidate will bring strong stakeholder management skills, experience leading enterprise data initiatives, and the ability to quickly integrate into an established project team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead project management efforts for an enterprise data warehousing initiative
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and key project deliverables
• Coordinate activities across business and technical stakeholders
• Facilitate project meetings and communicate status updates to leadership and project teams
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
• Track milestones, action items, budgets, and project documentation
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful project execution
• Support project governance and maintain alignment with organizational priorities
• Provide recommendations based on project management best practices
• Help drive project success while working within a flexible, part-time schedule
Preferred Experience:
• 4-5 years of Project Management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives
• Experience managing Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Data Integration, Analytics, or Enterprise Data projects
• Previous experience supporting higher education or other large, complex organizations strongly preferred
• Familiarity with data governance, reporting, enterprise data architecture, or modern data platforms
• Proven success managing cross-functional technical and business teams
• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Experienced Senior Project Manager who can quickly step into an active project environment
• Excellent communicator with strong executive presence and relationship-building skills
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
• Consultant mindset with the ability to quickly understand business objectives and deliver value
• Experience leading complex enterprise technology initiatives from planning through execution
• Available to work approximately 10 hours per week initially, increasing to approximately 20 hours per week as project needs evolve
• Comfortable with occasional onsite meetings in the Oklahoma City metro area
