This role supports construction projects by coordinating communication, schedules, subcontractors, and project documentation to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The position collaborates closely with project teams, owners, and vendors, participates in meetings and inspections, and assists with reporting and administrative tasks.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Project Manager is the primary contact with owners, architects and other invested parties throughout the project.   Responsible for all tasks associated with communication, schedule, and costs of construction projects as outlined in the company’s standard operating procedure.  Directs and supervises activities related to contract administration. Collaborate with field superintendent to create a seamless construction management team. Maintains a relentless focus on meeting and exceeding client needs and expectations. 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Professional communication with all parties involved in the construction project.
  2. Manages project budget.
  3. Manages project schedule.
  4. Supports project superintendent in onsite scheduling efforts.
  5. Knows and understands project documents.
  6. Knows and understands the requirements of owner’s contract, including bonds, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and insurance.
  7. Manages the subcontracting process and relationships with subcontractors.
  8. Coordinates schedule to assure subcontractors and suppliers are meeting project schedule.
  9. Effective communication with owner and owner representative, to provide a positive construction experience to owners and users. 
  10. Employs effective conflict resolution and problem solving strategies.
  11. Builds relationships with clients, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the project expectations.
  12. Actively participates in industry, client, and community activities to enhance company image.
  13. Helps prepare for and participates in proposals and interviews seeking potential new business opportunities.
  14. Coordinates and communicates with Contract Administrator and other project team support staff. 
  15. Conducts pre-installation meetings and documents for subcontractors, architects and owners.
  16. Be stationed onsite or make regular jobsite trips to collaborate with the jobsite superintendent.
  17. Knowledge of team roles and project responsibilities with the ability to hold the appropriate team members accountable at the correct time during the project.  
  18. Willing to continue education through various industry training as made available by the company.
  19. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS:
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates budgeting and cost analysis skills
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the business.
  • Demonstrates management skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others, while maintaining effective relationships with clients by meeting or exceeding their requirements and expectations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, such as e-mail, internet, and Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, Office), and scheduling and construction administration software.
  • Demonstrates conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
  • Is forward thinking / self-motivated and has good time management skills.

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or experience in a related field preferred and 5+ years of experience.
