HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

The role of ME Engineer Intern is to partner with other Manufacturing Engineering team members to achieve task-level and project-level objectives while acquiring a variety of real-world occupational experiences in a disciplinedengineering environment. Ideally, these experiences will include one or more special "proof of concept" or other development projects which offer the intern an opportunity to work with greater independence. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern reports to the Manufacturing Engineer.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assemblymethods and production equipment.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Designs, develops, and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment forrecommended manufacturing methods.
  • Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
  • General task-level assistance to fellow department members.
  • A summary report of each week's activities is due on Fridays; a final report of the internship is due within 10days of the conclusion of the internship.
  • Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
  • Achievement of objectives must include an over-riding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility.

  • Candidates must be pursuing bachelors and higher.
  • Organized, methodical, and diligent, with rigorous attention to detail.

  • Good Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge required.
  • Able to lift up to 20lbs when necessary.
