Overview
Lutron is seeking a Commercial Project Management Intern to join our collaborative team and contribute to high-impact projects. In this role, you will gain exposure to the full construction lifecycle within our smart lighting and shading systems. From design and estimating to project execution and commissioning, while developing foundational technical, analytical, and communication skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and sales professionals, and build connections with experienced leaders across the organization. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, deepen your understanding of lighting and shading systems, and explore potential career paths within Lutron.

Responsibilities
Your internship at Lutron could offer you the opportunity to work on:
  • Developing skills in reading construction drawings, creating designs, and programming systems
  • Communicating with architects, engineers, contractors, and sales team members to support Lutron's business goals
  • Building personal relationships with leadership in Lutron's Commercial Project business
  • Driving active projects in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Learning and applying newly adopted tools and technologies to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability

Qualifications
We seek talented, success-minded people with the desire and ability to make things happen. Our baseline requirements are simple:
  • You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the following areas of study: Architecture & Design, Architecture Engineering, Business/Business Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Your cumulative GPA is at least 3.20
  • You are a rising junior, rising senior, or master's student at the start of the internship
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site 5 days per week
