eSimplicity is seeking a Project Financial Analyst III to join our growing team. This role provides administrative and general financial support across our portfolio of government programs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment supporting federal clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and manage program budgets for federal government contracts. 
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and forecasts. 
  • Track contract funding, expenditures, and revenue recognition. 
  • Analyze program financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and contractual requirements. 
  • Complete project setup actions in the accounting and timekeeping systems; update as needed to reflect project or contract modifications.
  • Monitor indirect rates, labor utilization, and project profitability. 
  • Prepare financial data for customer reviews, audits, and contract closeouts. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, including: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), as applicable 
  • Assist in proposal pricing, cost estimates, and basis-of-estimate development. 
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Support internal and external audits. 
  • Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and government requirements. 
  • Support invoicing activities, including documentation, validation, and timely submission.
  • Participate in financial models to support strategic planning and business decisions. 
  • Reconcile project costs and ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition. 
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required, with at least four (4) years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, program control, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, policies, and procedures.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in supporting professional development and continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using Unanet ERP and Financials.
  • Prior experience in the federal/government contracting environment.

Working Environment:  

eSimplicity supports a hybrid work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager.   


Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
