Project Finance Associate Attorney - NY, DC or Houston

Direct Counsel is seeking a Project Finance Associate to join a highly respected Am Law firm within its Energy and Infrastructure practice group. This opportunity is available in New York, with consideration also given to candidates in Washington, D.C. and Houston. This is an excellent role for a mid-level associate seeking to work on sophisticated energy and infrastructure finance transactions for leading global clients.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in project finance, development, and structured or limited recourse financings within the energy and infrastructure sectors. Candidates with leveraged finance or other complex finance experience will also be considered.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • 3–5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in project finance, infrastructure, or leveraged finance
  • Experience working on structured financings and development transactions in the energy and infrastructure space
  • Exposure to representing corporations, private equity sponsors, banks, and institutional investors
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and transactional skills
  • Excellent academic credentials and prior Am Law firm experience
  • Admission to practice and good standing in the jurisdiction of hire
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus, but not required
