Position: Associate – Debt Finance
Compensation Range: $225,000–$365,000+ (location and experience dependent)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Debt Finance Associate to join a top-tier, nationally recognized law firm’s highly regarded Debt Finance practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for attorneys seeking sophisticated work, strong deal flow, and career progression within an elite platform.

About the Role

The firm is hiring associates with 1–5 years of experience representing lenders, borrowers, and/or private equity sponsors in debt financing transactions.

Ideal Background

Candidates should have experience in some or all of the following:

  • Secured lending transactions

  • Drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including issues lists

  • Managing or supporting closings

  • Article 9 of the UCC

  • Acquisition financing, including commitment papers

  • Debt securities offerings (e.g., high-yield or convertible notes)

  • General corporate law exposure

Qualifications
