Summary (What/Why/Coverage)-Main Activities:


Under the general direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Project Engineering Intern

supports the development and improvement of project systems and related activities, with a focus on cost

reduction, operational efficiency, process flow, and safety.


The intern will gain hands-on experience in project planning, execution, and support within a dynamic

engineering environment. This role will assist with various phases of engineering projects while gaining

exposure to real-world applications of engineering principles and project management practices

PLC, VFD and HMI programming.

Key Responsibilities (What/How): 


- Support project engineers in the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects. 

- Support low- to medium-complexity projects, from detailed planning through execution and final delivery. 

- Assist with the development and implementation of manufacturing and building improvements. 

- Support pilot tests and prototypes to evaluate equipment applicability and process efficiency. 

- Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations. 

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, process, quality, and maintenance, to support project objectives



  Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Work around varying temperatures
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus
