Job Description

Timmons Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-orientedCivil Project Engineer II/III to join our Land Development team in Charleston, SC. The Project Engineer II/III will contribute to a wide range of land development projects—from residential neighborhoods to commercial developments and public spaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems usingCivil 3D and other modeling tools.
  • Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges.
  • Preparing technical specifications and construction documents.
  • Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion.
  • Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning.
  • Supporting field inspections and data collection.
  • Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results.

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
  • EIT certification preferred.
  • Proficiency inCivil 3D and/or other CAD software.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
