As a Project Engineer - Level 3 or Level 4 located in Promontory, UT, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. The preferred location for this role is Promontory, UT. May consider one of the following major Space sector locations: Magna, UT; Clearfield, UT; or Hill Air Force Base, UT.

The Project Engineer is responsible for establishment and execution of all technical aspects of Development, Qualification, and Production of a Hypersonic rocket motor. These positions will manage the technical products and aspects associated with the design, engineering & manufacturing development (EMD), qualification, and the follow-on production phases. The Project Engineer may also be responsible for the scale up of products, processes, tooling, and facilities for low rate and high rate production.

Fast paced development programs offer the potential for the Project Engineer to work with a variety of resources/teams/divisions and witness the entirety of the programs engineering lifecycle. Currently there are three potential Project Engineer job openings depending upon the candidates interests and abilities. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinates across IPTs with fellow PEs on design, process, and quality of the product Develop program execution plans and works closely with the Program Office Required to interface with Customer regularly as the technical POC Ability to work with a wide range of positions both within and outside of NGC Supports production operations (manufacturing and quality) Development, coordination, and allocation of requirements Assemble and develop efficient cross functional teams to execute plans Identify design concepts and mature into design solutions that meet the customer needs Develop master schedules, integrated logic flows, work breakdown, and assist in program cost estimates. Coordination and implementation of design and analysis activities Development of test plans and coordination of testing with test engineers Identification of risks/mitigations and tracking to closure in Risk Tracker Lead the coordination and conducting of milestones reviews to Senior Leadership and Customers Lead problem and failure investigations Write technical reports Presentations - internal and external Ability to Travel expectation of 5% - 10% Other duties as assigned Why you.
