Job description

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join the Boeing Defense Engineering Team on our F-15 program in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role would support the Airframe Engineering team for F-15.

Position Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with key team members to help align priorities and key activities Weekly and monthly meeting support โ€“ Staff, PMM, ECAPA, ECAB metrics generation and chart prep โ€“ 25%
  • Maintain program trackers, calendars, and documentation to ensure consistent execution
  • Monitor performance and assist control account managers with opportunities /risks, earned value management, discrete updates and variances
  • Maintain the facilities and equipment plan for the Airframe Engineering Team
  • Monitor airframe business execution metrics: CDRLs, staffing, on time release, Engineering first pass quality, noncompliance performance, Oobeya, various change boards, governance board, and more
  • Manage updates for our Risks Issues and Opportunity reviews
  • Lead project kickoffs, creation of BOEs, and senior Leader reviews
  • Coordinate staffing with functional teams, maintenance of AP, and onboarding new teammates
  • Support planning, coordination and execution of engagement programs (recognition, surveys, employee listening, virtual and in-person events)
  • Draft and publish internal communications (i.e., emails, intranet posts, newsletters, etc.) tailored to local audiences
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership
  • 3+ years of experience with business operations and/or business process improvements
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Products, or other project management tools
  • Experience working directly with Engineering Teams
  • Experience leading/managing projects associated with production engineering, manufacturing engineering, and/or supply chain
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 5+ years of experience communicating with executive audiences
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating internally across multiple organizations
  • Experience leading a team either formally or informally, mentoring, and supporting team members
  • Experience in Program Management, Compliance, Risk Management and Finance
