Role and Responsibilities
� Perform installation and certification of fire safety product lines.
� Guide installation process and ensure standards are met for quality and safety.
� Add devices to existing systems and adequately certify the system after any modification.
� Make minor repairs and programming changes as required to keep systems operational and reliable.
� Interact with the customer or general contractor to ensure work is performed as expected.
� Communicate schedule ability, material needs, or any job-related issues with the Project Management team.
� Complete assigned tasks on time.
� Support emergency service call-outs on a rotational basis.
� Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
� Two years of experience in commercial/industrial fire alarm systems.
� Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
� Ability to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
� Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
� Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
� Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
� Must be able to work on lifts and ladders.
� Must possess hand tools.
� Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
� Material Handling: Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
� Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
� Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.
� High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Work Environment: Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
