PROJECT ENGINEER / TECHNOLOGIST / TECHNICIAN I


THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Project Engineer / Technologist / Technician I to join our diverse team of professionals in our office on a full-time basis. Our preferred candidate possesses proficiency in generating detailed design drawings, calculations and analysis and will provide excellent design services to support engineering requirements for our various projects.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Collaborate with project team in the planning, design and managing of project requirements including defining accurate project scope, objectives, cost estimates, etc. to align with client requirements and execute high quality projects on time and on budget.
Participate in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design, specifications, contract documents, tendering and contract administration.

Prepare drawings and various engineering documentation including memos, proposals, reports, with speed and accuracy while ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards and project constraints.
Liaise with and manage effective relationships with clients, colleagues, consultants, regulatory agencies, utility companies, and contractors.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

A degree, diploma, or certificate in civil engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution with a minimum of one year of experience.
Designation either as an EIT, AScT, CTech, or P.Eng. in good standing, an asset
Knowledge of the design and management of land development and municipal infrastructure projects in the Lower Mainland.
Knowledge of local design and construction standards, municipal requirements for permits.
Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, project implementation principles, project billings.
Proven capabilities in writing reports, emails, and other technical documents.
Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills are critical, along with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and exceptional organization skills required for our rapidly changing environment.
Ability to think quickly and promptly solve conflicts if they arise during construction.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
Ability to travel to and inspect project and construction sites.
Valid Driver's License.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D, an asset.
