Overview

Development Associate takes part in application projects, supports daily maintenance of production application systems and fulfils business requests.

Responsibilities

Application Maintenance 

  • Provide first level application maintenance and support services

  • Investigate application issues and analyze requests, propose solutions for supervisor to review, test and execute the solution after it is approved. 

  • Assist in updating application systems maintenance documents.

  • Ensure adherence to the change management procedure when implementing application solutions.

Application Development 

  • Assist in the requirement gathering, and development of technical solution and project plan.   
  • Develop application codes that follow secure coding principles.
  • Conduct testing including unit test, system integration test to validate if the new application meets business requirements. 
  • Support user acceptance test and production go-live.
  • Develop technical documents related to the application project.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, Financial Mathematics or related subject required. Master's degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years of strong web page and computer program development and testing experience
  • 1-2 years of Database SQL development, ETL, reporting, and data warehousing design and implementation experience
  • 1-2 years of IT project development, testing and maintenance experience
  • IT industry certificates preferred
  • Demonstrate skill in at least 2 programming languages (e.g. Java, VB, C++, C#, C Shell, Python, PL/SQL)
  • Demonstrate Application development knowledge
Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate's relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.
