Job description

Position Title: Project Engineer
The Project Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between project management, field operations, and engineering teams. This position is essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial construction and will be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role demands flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the dynamic nature of project environments. The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional growth within a supportive and relaxed company culture.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 / year DOE
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily project activities, including tracking costs and budgets
  • Approve invoices and ensure material availability
  • Assist with shutdown planning and cutover readiness
  • Collaborate with field teams, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Support schedule updates and look-ahead planning
  • Maintain current project drawings and documentation
  • Prepare meeting minutes and follow-up action items
  • Support testing, startup, and closeout documentation
  • Manage projects ranging from $2M to $50M, primarily in electrical work on water treatment plants

Project Engineer Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer
  • Industrial construction experience is a must
  • Basic understanding of shutdowns, cutovers, and live facility work
  • BA degree is preferred, ideally in Engineering, unless 5 years of industrial experience is present
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A team player
  • Water/wastewater experience is preferred
