Job Summary:

The Building Systems Engineer (Fixed Term) role will serve as client's primary point of contact for capital projects that affect building infrastructure, acting as a link between project execution teams, operations, and asset management within the site.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Function as main liaison for all capital projects impacting facilities

  • Oversee project execution and manage the Transfer of Care & Custody process to Operations.

  • Create and track Work Orders (WOs) and maintain all required documentation in Maximo and controlled systems.

  • Provide support in project-related change controls and participate in project walks with ownership of assigned actions.

  • Review and contribute to design phase activities and participate in decision-making sessions.

  • Evaluate new systems and equipment introduced through capital projects.

  • Maintain master project documentation and ensure version control and traceability.

  • Review and approve validation reports and construction control plans.

  • Support mechanical completion activities and generate related Maximo Child Work Orders.

  • Approve Mechanical Completion Packages (MMP) and new assets in Amgen's systems.

  • Maintained and approved project documentation per Amgen quality and compliance standards.

  • Updated asset register reflecting new systems introduced by capital projects.

  • Completed and closed Work Orders associated with project activities

  • Documented Transfer of Care & Custody records

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience working in an engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in engineering, design, operation, and/or maintenance of HVAC and industrial central utility systems, including purified water (RO/DI), steam, chilled water, and compressed gases.

  • Ability to work with multiple teams consisting of operational staff, client stakeholders, project managers, external engineers and architects, vendors, and subcontractors.

  • Intermediate to advanced English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Direct experience with regulated environments (e.g. GMP, OSHA, EPA, etc.) is preferred.

  • EIT or PE is a plus.
