What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors 

OHM Advisors is seeking a Project Engineer to support the continued growth of our civil engineering presence in our St. Petersburg office. While our local team is currently anchored by a strong and growing MEP group, you will collaborate closely with established civil engineering teams across OHM Advisors to deliver impactful site development and municipal infrastructure projects throughout the Tampa Bay region.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while helping expand civil engineering capabilities locally, supported by OHM's multidisciplinary teams and experienced civil staff across the firm. You will play an important role in project delivery, provide technical leadership, and mentor emerging engineers while contributing to the continued growth of our St. Petersburg office.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Lead the design and delivery of site development and municipal infrastructure projects, including grading, utilities, stormwater management, and roadway improvements.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record and ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and permitting requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Collaborate with civil engineering teams across OHM Advisors' offices to support project delivery.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers within the St. Petersburg office.
  • Interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to support successful project execution.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of civil engineering services in the Tampa Bay region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida (required).
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on site development and/or municipal infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with Florida permitting processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers.
  • Interest in contributing to the growth of civil engineering services in the St. Petersburg office.
