The Communications Project Coordinator will support multi-channel strategies to raise public awareness of Tow Youth Justice Institute's (TYJI) work.
You will:
  • Write and produce content for all internal and external communications, including
    • Newsletters
    • Website
    • Brochures
    • Press releases
    • enews content
    • Blogs
    • Issue briefs
    • Op-Ed
    • Media advisories
    • Press releases
    • Social Media
  • Update databases and media lists
  • Recommend techniques to improve communications
  • Organize and oversee events as needed
  • Work with staff to ensure that all marketing materials meet TYJI and University branding
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices
  • Assist with other external and internal communications duties as needed
  • Collaborate and work with TYJI faculty, staff and students

You need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related subject/concentration.
  • Experience working in non-profit grant related role and creating and/or delivering training and curriculum to constituents.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, on-line meeting platforms Zooms, Microsoft teams, Google meets, and other presentation software.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills including report writing and planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent time management skills including proven experience in organizing workload, processes, and problem solving.
  • Ability to present themselves in a business professional manner and adhere to the established goals of the university and department.
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable operational and business-related policies.
  • Media literacy skills in use of electronic technology.
