Job Summary:ย 
MSLLC is seeking a qualified Project Controls Specialist to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District.ย 

The Project Controls Specialist willย assistย the government in tracking andย monitoringย overall project costs, supporting the project management team with monthly tracking, maintenance, and reporting of project-related data. This work helps theย Districtย maintain awareness of project spending and promotes positive performance in alignment with USACE metrics and reporting requirements.ย 

This position will also perform project controls and analysis services for the Project Management Automated Information System (P2) and related systems, ensuringย accurateย data integration and reporting.ย 
ย 

Key Responsibilities:ย 

  • Conduct project updates in Primavera Project Manager/P6 Web, ensuring data integration with theย financialย managementย systems.ย ย ย 

  • Add new projects to theย project managementย database andย maintainย dataย in accordance withย HQ, Division, and District guidance.ย 

  • Ensure project changes and updates are completedย in a timely mannerย for Project Review Board (PRB), Command Management Review (CMR), Directorate Management Review (DMR),ย orย other USACE-required presentations.ย 

  • Support the maintenance, validation, and reporting of project data within PROMIS and related systems.ย 

  • Develop and analyze project cost and schedule data, supporting the project manager in assessing variances, performance, and forecasting.ย 

  • Monitor progress of project deliverables and expenditures against baselines and forecasts.ย 

  • Prepare and present reports to communicate cost and schedule status.ย 

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, contractual specifications, and government regulations.ย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizenship may beย requiredย based on federal contract requirements).ย 

  • Previousย experience in the use of some type of scheduling tool (Primavera, Microsoft Project,ย etc).ย 

  • Competency in both schedule and cost control.ย 

  • Intermediate understanding of project management principles.ย 

  • Advancedย proficiencyย in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).ย 

  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.ย 

  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to build relationships and foster a continuous improvement environment.ย 

  • Government experience and PMP or similar certification preferred.ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree inย Business,ย Engineering, Construction Management, orย a relatedย field preferred.ย 

  • Minimum of 3โ€“5 years of projectย controlsย experience.ย 

Working Conditions:ย This position isย performed on-site inย Mobile,ย AL. Employees willย be requiredย to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods.ย ย
