Job description

We are seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support all project controls functions across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with multiple departments to maintain and report on project status within the Projects Register and long-range plans. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining projects and budgets in Ecosys, Maximo, and SAP; validating funding and cash flows; supporting work order, purchase request, and accrual activities; and coordinating with Finance, Controls Leads, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting. The position also supports management reporting, contractor evaluations, policy compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, while helping ensure projects are properly tracked, funded, and closed in accordance with established controls processes.
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 *Anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting.
Work Arrangement: The schedule for this position will be a regular 5-8's workweek with Monday through Thursday onsite and the option to work from home on Fridays.

  • Project Controls & Financial Management
    • Knowledge of project controls fundamentals, including budget management, cash flow forecasting, and project lifecycle support
    • Ability to maintain and manage long range project plans, including multi year and 10 Year Plans
    • Experience validating authorized funding (AFCs), supplemental funding, and budget changes
    • Accrual preparation, validation, and coordination with Finance
    • Understanding of project close out and placed in service processes
  • Enterprise Systems & Tools
    • Proficiency with enterprise project controls and financial systems such as EcoSys, Maximo, and SAP
    • Experience creating and maintaining work orders (WOs), purchase requisitions (PRs), and purchase orders (POs)
    • Ability to reconcile data across multiple systems and resolve data discrepancies
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, validation, and reporting
  • Reporting & Data Analysis
    • Ability to generate and maintain management and portfolio reports, including variance and long range planning reports
    • Strong analytical skills to identify budget, cash flow, and data integrity issues
    • Experience supporting leadership and project teams with accurate, timely, and reliable reporting
  • Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work cross functionally with Project Teams, Portfolio Management, Controls Leads, and Finance
    • Experience vetting project changes, funding status, and project readiness with appropriate stakeholders
  • Contractor & Cost Administration
    • Experience supporting contractor overhead planning and cost distributions

Job Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (PSP, PMP, AACEi) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years in cost control.
  • Location: This position is based at a Client Site. Fridays may be work from home, with prior approval from the program manager. This role does not include relocation assistance. Candidates should reside within commuting distance of the work location or be willing to self-relocate.
  • Industry Requirements: This role will require all or some of the following requirements at time of hire or during employment
    • HHFT Safety Training and current card or ability to obtain.
    • Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.
    • TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain. TWIC card must be obtained prior to start date or start date may need to be adjusted.
    • Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.
    • Participation in random drug and alcohol programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools in engineering workflows to improve efficiency, while maintaining responsible charge, code compliance, and accountability for final deliverables.
