Job description

Position Title Project Architect
This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a Project Architect to contribute to meaningful educational projects across California. The successful candidate will engage in the design and management of school facilities, ensuring that they meet both client expectations and regulatory standards. This position requires a strong commitment to collaboration, mentoring, and professional development within a close-knit team environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a culture that values work-life balance while delivering high-quality architectural solutions. The challenges of employee management and client relations will be integral to the role, providing avenues for professional growth and leadership development.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000+ / Year DOE
Project Architect Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage school projects, focusing on K-12 and higher education facilities
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Negotiate contracts, present designs, and write proposals
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and expectations
  • Oversee project timelines and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Project Architect Requirements:
  • Licensed Architect is required for both locations, but candidates on track for licensure may be considered for the LA location
  • Experience designing schools in California, including new builds or modernizations
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Management experience is required
  • A portfolio is essential for evaluation of compensation expectations
