Job description

AMETEK LMS is seeking an Application Engineer to join our team!  As an Application Engineer you will provide required assistance and prepare required documents, drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the manufacture of modified equipment.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Preparing drawings for use by Production to manufacture modified equipment.
  • Preparing modified BOMs for entry into the Production System.
  • Working closely with other departments (including, but not limited to: Production, Production Control, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Project Quotations, Manufacturing Engineering) to resolve issues related to Application Engineering.
  • Providing technical support to other departments as needed.
  • Inputting BOM changes into the Magnetrol Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
  • Preparing drawings for approval by the client.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A BS in Engineering or equivalent.
  • An ability to read specifications and data sheets to determine correct methodology to best meet customer needs.
  • An ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • An understanding of piping industry, rules, and regulations.
  • An ability to read and interpret Technical Specifications.
  • Advanced PC skills.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • An ability to grasp interaction between complex mechanical systems (Mechanical Aptitude).
