The Application Engineer leads projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact for BH IET at the COE & regional level. In this role, you will be responsible for complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within area of application engineering and contribute to the overall business strategy.

As an Engineering Senior Specialist - Customer Application for Steam turbine & Expander, you will be responsible for:
In the role, you will lead the following activities:
  • Providing technical expertise to Sales and Commercial Operations in selecting, implementing, and developing solutions for major BH customers.
  • Being responsible for supporting leaders in delivering revenue commitments.
  • Being responsible for developing budgets and firm offers for New Unit business, mainly focusing on steam turbines and expanders for Energy sectors such as O&G, the energy-transition market, and industrial applications.
  • Providing specific focus on geothermal opportunities in the area that include steam turbines or expanders.
  • Acting as the technical reference point for the country for the complete GTE product portfolio.
  • Sustaining the backbone for the product in legacy O&G as well as industrial opportunities.
  • Applying deep knowledge to tailor offered solutions to comply with common international steam turbine standards such as API 612 or IEC, including balance-of-plant and auxiliary systems, to deliver the most competitive proposals for mechanical drive and power generation.
  • Using specific knowledge of the current IET expanders portfolio to tailor the most competitive offers for new energy-transition opportunities.
  • Assessing competitive system performance and hardware evaluation throughout the entire bid process.
  • Aligning sub-vendor proposals (Surface condenser, Electric Generator, etc.) with customer requisitions and applicable technical specifications, ensuring quality, completeness, and timely responsiveness.
  • Actively participating in risk-assessment processes, deal-strategy reviews, and cost-out activities during proposal preparation, defining the best technical solution.
  • Supporting bid reviews and proposal-clarification meetings.
  • Performing steam-cycle optimization for all IPG, including renewable power plants, using dedicated software such as Epsilon or equivalent.
  • Establishing economic evaluations of selected configurations to compare with project CTQs.
  • Maintaining frequent interaction with clients to promote company products and solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation of processes and information used within evaluation, analysis, and pricing groups to ensure consistency, knowledge sharing, and training.
  • Providing performance data and hardware definitions and working with Engineering and Sales to ensure proper technical support for proposals.
  • Providing accurate and timely data, including direct interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Communicating openly with top management about project status to support business-strategy evolution and increase hit rate on current and future projects.
  • Managing daily priorities and working on assigned projects or processes.
  • Providing specific support to complex global projects.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and product-leadership teams to jointly evaluate the best technical and cost-effective solutions.
  • Being proactive in sharing customer feedback with Engineering and product leadership to refine ongoing product development for energy-transition deals.
  • Supporting DTI activities to foster the future project pipeline.
  • Using effective problem-solving skills and documenting results of generated technical data.
  • Establishing working relationships through clear and concise written and verbal communication.

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering/Technology).
