Icon Parking is seeking a Claims Adjusters (Auto, property damage) with the experience to handle auto and property damage claims. The candidates must also have a working knowledge of how to determine negligence and assess damages and understand coverage, how to investigate a variety of property and negligence claims, and how to value and estimate property damage as well as the ability to evaluate Bodily Injury claims for settlement.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust Auto and property damage claims in accordance with established claim handling standards and laws.
  • Establish claim reserves, handle evidence, obtain and interpret official reports, medical reports, and claim forms.
  • Negotiate and settle claims, set reserves, and manage files in accordance with corporate standards and authority levels.
  • Effective and timely coordination of communication with clients, claimants, and appropriate parties throughout the claim adjustment process.
  • Pursuing subrogation when appropriate.
  • Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information required by the client and obtained through investigation.
  • Self-starter capable of working alone or with others.
  • Maintains company reputation and insurance product integrity by complying with Federal and state regulations, service standards.
  • Maintain expected caseloads in multiple lines of business while meeting established service delivery, production, and quality.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education in multiple lines of business.
  • Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with service standards and compliance with internal quality control initiatives.

Qualifications/requirements include:

  • In-depth knowledge Auto claims
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Prompt, reliable, and friendly service
  • Good analytic and negotiating skills
  • Must submit to background check; void in states where prohibited
  • Experience in industry specific areas a plus, but not necessary: Subrogation Recovery and Property Damage investigations.

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3-5+ years progressive claims experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of auto claims appraisal experience. Proficient in CCC One, Mitchell, and/or Audatex
  • Must demonstrate strong time management and customer service skills.
  • Experience in preparing Statements of Loss, Proofs of Loss, and denial letters.
  • State adjuster's license where required.
