Job description

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Structural Engineer in West Milton, NY. An active DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent is required to be considered for this position.
Navarro Research & Engineering is an award-winning federal contractor dedicated to partnering with clients to advance clean energy and deliver effective solutions for complex challenges in the nuclear and environmental fields. Joining Navarro means being a part of an exceptional team committed to quality and safety while also looking for innovative strategies to create value for the client's success. Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs in place across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense.
Work within a project team environment to support construction projects at the Knolls Site. Develop and define project scope with sponsors. Work with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during construction phase for buildings and utility projects. Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates. Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of NYS Building Codes, AISC, ASCE
EIT certificate and or P.E. License Engineering consulting experience
Requirements
B.S. Structural Engineering. Experience performing structural engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations and cost estimates. Working knowledge of building codes and standards. Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFI's, construction inspections, etc.).
An active DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent is required to be considered for this position.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, ship is required.
