Position: Hotel Maintenance Technician (Engineer)Reports To: Engineer Supervisor, Chief Engineer or Director of EngineeringCOMPANY OVERVIEW:

POSITION PROFILE:

Supervise; perform administrative duties, the basic duties of Class III Engineer and the special skills of Class I, II Engineer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
  • Assist the Director of Engineering in the supervision of the Engineering staff; interview, recommend hiring, train, schedule, prepare payroll, coach and counsel, make recommendations to performance evaluations and discipline as needed.
  • Assign work orders to staff; monitor progress and results.
  • Monitor, control and report on the energy conservation programs.
  • Responsible for all life/safety systems including fire, elevators, disasters and emergency lighting and generating systems.
  • Maintain all motors and control circuits.
  • Arrange for proper trash removal and recycling.
  • Purchase equipment and supplies. Maintain pars.
  • Maintain audio systems within the hotel.
  • Perform the duties of a Class II or III Engineer as needed.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school education or equivalent experience.

Experience: Experience required by position is from one to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).

Skills and Abilities: Requires working knowledge of Housekeeping and the hotel's services, policies and operations. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
