JOB DETAILS:

  • Locations: Austin, TX, Boxborough, MA, Fort Collins, CO, Longmont, CO, Fishkill, NY, Rochester, NY
  • Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term

Duration:

  • Spring/Summer Co-op: January 15, 2027 - August 13, 2027
  • Summer Internship: 
    • Semester Students: May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027
    • Quarter Students: June 21, 2027 - September 10, 2027
  • Summer/Fall Co-op:
    • Semester Students: May 24, 2027 - December 10, 2027 
    • Quarter Students: June 21, 2027 - December 10, 2027 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: 

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Development engineering intern/co-op to join our team. In this role -  

  • We will involve you in supporting Product Development Engineers in characterization and to build production test programs through parametric, data and statistical analysis 
  • We will train you to perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage and meet target goal to initiate production ramp 
  • Your involvement while working with multi-functional teams will help resolve production-related issues and improve efficiency 
  • We will assign you tasks to build and maintain technical documents, debug manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors 
  • We will encourage you to participate in Product debug and characterization to identify product performance, process, and test sensitivities 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a US based University in a Undergrad degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply –
    • C++, Linux, Perl, Ruby, Shell script, Java or similar 
    • GIT, SVN, CVS, RCS or similar 
    • XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban programming paradigms 
    • Logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and debug 
    • Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics 
    • Courses in computer science, software engineering, digital logic, circuit theory, computer architecture
