Kleinfelder's Salt Lake City, UT office is seeking a Construction Materials Technician Intern.  This is a great opportunity for students majoring in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Construction Management. 
 
Under supervision and working with experienced staff, the successful candidate will assist in performing routine inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications, and will also perform routine materials laboratory tests for the purpose of verifying suitability and conformance industry and construction specifications.  Training will be provided. Inter-departmental training will be available at the request of the environmental, geotechnical, and civil departments within Kleinfelder.
 
The Intern will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
 
Must be able to use a computer and a general knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel is preferred.
 
Valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
 
Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
