Role Summary
This is a mid-level engineering position focused on supporting operations within the natural gas or petrochemical industry. The role involves managing technical assignments, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating across teams to optimize electrical infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a variety of moderately complex engineering tasks demonstrating technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Independently manage mid-sized projects and technical assignments supporting operations functions.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Interpret customer needs, assess requirements, and develop appropriate responses.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with policies, develop improvement plans, and facilitate training initiatives.
  • Champion safety procedures, organizational processes, and regulatory guidelines, ensuring adherence across projects.
  • Coordinate with third-party contractors for equipment maintenance and operational support.
  • Develop and implement equipment condition-based maintenance programs to enhance reliability.
  • Review electrical drawings, manage electrical outage schedules, and support arc flash studies and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • For PE license holders, a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer certification is acceptable.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Proven organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on safety.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general PC skills.
  • Preferred: Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification and project management experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including the National Electric Code.

Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 - $45.00 hourly

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with a mix of remote work and on-site presence.
