WHB Engineers is a well-established and growing Civil Engineering and Construction Management firm with offices in San Diego, San Mateo, Dublin, Pleasant Hill and Chico, California. Our firm provides a full array of engineering, public works design and construction and project management services.

Our staff works on a broad array of challenging and interesting public and private projects. A career with us is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the best civil engineers and construction managers.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Staff Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is organized, has solid communication skills, can work independently, is team oriented, and personable. This position requires a dependable, versatile individual who has experience in civil engineering design. Candidates are required to have a California PE License or qualified for licensure and actively in the process of obtaining a PE license.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under general direction on complex projects to prepare designs, reports, and calculations in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards
  • Works to ensure projects are on schedule, within budget and meet the requirements of our clients

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum five years of demonstrated design and plan preparation experience
  • California PE License or EIT registered and actively pursuing a California PE License
  • Current experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented, with strong attention to detail
  • Solid experience with the MS Office Suite

We offer a generous salary and benefits package that includes company paid medical and dental insurance, vacation and a 401(k) plan.
