Job description

Our growing company is looking to fill the role of an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our tool room department team. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of responsibilities and qualifications to apply for the position. At Moldtronics, Inc. we provide molding, machining, design, mold building, and manufacturing services, for the aviation, defense, and commercial industries.
An experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer is responsible for producing parts from engineering drawings using both CNC and manual toolroom equipment. You need a minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining and programming using Mastercam - preferred.
CNC Machinist / Programmer Responsibilities:
  • Machine parts, components, & fixtures per models or prints.
  • Program (2D & 3D) and set up CNC machines (HAAS) for production.
  • Measure and verify critical part features.
  • Operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, saws, drill presses, grinders, EDM machines, and CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to complete jobs efficiently and with minimal errors.
  • Ability to complete jobs quickly and efficiently with minimal errors.
  • Maintain safe work area in a neat and orderly manner.
CNC Machinist / Programmer Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; TMA certificate preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, saws, drill presses, grinders, EDM machines, and CAD/CAM software.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Mastercam - preferred.
  • Must be able to regularly stand and sit throughout the shift with regular walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in 2D & 3D programming, CNC machining, and vertical milling.
  • Good active learning, time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A successful candidate must complete a background check.
  • Required to be a U.S. Person - meaning U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
