Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties and responsibilities required.

  • Design, develop, program, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, and VFD control systems
  • Independently perform the installation, configuration, calibration, and commissioning of complex electrical control systems and instrumentation of projects
  • Diagnose complex system-level issues and develop long-term corrective and preventative solutions
  • Analyze and modify existing control logic and system architectures to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions on industrial controls systems including electrical panels, resolving
  • Analyze and interpret detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, blueprints, and technical documentation to support system installation, troubleshooting, and design modifications in regulated wastewater environments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and management teams to plan and execute automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Controls Technician in a manufacturing or controls integration environment preferred
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI programming, and troubleshooting
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in electrical engineering technology or related field preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to resolve problems or situations requiring the exercise of good judgment
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with other team members
  • Ability to translate data into quantifiable actions/deliverables
