Job description


Job Title: CMM Programmer
Job Summary
Provide quality support for engineering and manufacturing in the area of dimensional feedback for quality planning and product integrity. This service is provided through the ability to program, operate, and translate data from CMM equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of programming software and techniques.
  • Understand and apply GD&T concepts and Drawing Interpretations.
  • Manage the calibration and maintenance of the CMMs, fixtures and probing systems.
  • Create, backup and review programs for effectiveness, efficiency and revisions are current.
  • Operate / Program/Train and evaluate results of the CMM or applicable gauges.
  • Create and update operator instructions for fixtures and running of programs.
  • Manage CMM data collection and archiving.
  • Perform in-process, first off and receiving inspection as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Academic/Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent expertise gained through professional experience, training, or certifications.

Required Skills/Experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience performing metrological inspections in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience programming CMM using Calypso or PCDMS Software.
  • Proficient in GD&T and Blueprint Reading.
  • Competent in the use of CAD Data and 3D Models
