Job description

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis - every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
As Compass Health Center continues to grow, we're expanding access to care by launching a new onsite Evening Program, creating exciting opportunities for clinicians and leaders to make an even greater impact.
We're seeking an Associate Director to help lead this new program, supporting both our team and our patients while continuing to provide direct clinical care. If you're passionate about developing clinicians, building a strong team culture, and maintaining your own clinical expertise, we'd love to have you join us as we expand our services to meet the needs of our communities.
Our centrally located Chicago office is nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of North Center, not to mention the social events hosted on our fully furnished rooftop!
This is a full-time position that is Monday through Friday with the specific schedule based on program needs. The scheduling will cover evening hours, 12:00-8:00 PM CST.
What You'll Do:
  • Assist Program Directors in overseeing quality of care in EIOP programs
  • Coordinate with the onsite over 18 programs to ensure alignment of programming and areas of overlap between virtual and onsite programs
  • Manage clinical team of primary and group therapists
  • Meet with patients individually to assess and chart progress of treatment
  • Assess patient's progress and need for higher level of care, step down or discharge
  • Guide discharge planning with treatment team to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide virtual and phone coaching to patients
  • Engage in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, Aura notes, emails, and ongoing communication
  • Coordinate care with patient's outside providers via zoom, phone and email to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide group, individual, and family therapy, as needed
  • Aid in crisis management
  • Ensure that all documentation and data are tracked/completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Oversee initial and continuing insurance needs of patients through frequent communication with Utilization Review Team
  • Provide clinical supervision for staff working toward licensure, as needed
  • Support CCO in assessing team needs and facilitating adult-specific professional development
  • Ensure that all adult program activities are aligned with Compass values and mission statement
  • Support IOP team in ensuring that issues related to liability/ethics (e.g., mandated reporting, patient complaints) are addressed quickly and appropriately
  • Ensure that virtual programs adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Effectively coordinate with other Compass programs and departments
  • Coordinate community outreach (ex: provide trainings, cultivate referral sources, conduct tours)
  • Actively engage in EIOP program development and expansion
  • Participate in interviews with CCO as needed
  • Meet with CCO on a regular basis for supervision/consultation

Who You Are:
  • Licensed Doctorate Level Psychologist or Masters Level Clinician (LCPC or LCSW).
  • Clinical experience conducting assessments, individual, family or group therapy experience
  • Knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other empirically supported treatments.
  • Experience with patients in crisis
  • Program development and implementation experience
  • Experience supervising therapists, both licensed and seeking licensure
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications. Compass reserves the right to update these ranges.
This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus which is dependent upon individual and company performance.
