The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Engineer (Anti-Tamper)-Senior. The salary range of this position is $160,000.00 - $195,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Systems Engineer (Anti-Tamper)-Senior may include:
  • Performs programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems
  • Guides the engineering development of modern complex systems
  • Employs systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems
  • Conducts research in applied systems engineering to advance the field
  • Participates and provides inputs to Anti-Tamper (AT) solutions throughout the program life cycle
  • Implements AT policies, instructions, guidance, in systems development
  • Participates in identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determination of consequence of compromise
  • Conducts system trade-off analysis in recommending a reasonable AT solution
  • Develops and advocates AT contractual requirements in support of developmental programs
  • Facilitates evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance to protection standards
  • Coordinates with program, service, Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure system horizontal protection requirements are met
  • Assists the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team with assessment of AT designs and solutions
  • Supports program risk management, mitigation and reporting
  • Communicates across the technical teams to share information, address issues and accelerate pace of new development
  • Serves as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events providing AT/SSE expertise

Must-haves:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline with 4 years of additional work experience (14 years total)
  • Degree obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of weapons system architectures that resist reverse engineering
  • Programmatic/Technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems
  • Experience guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems
  • Experience with application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, SSE and Anti-Tamper related to weapon systems and platforms
  • Experience in DoD Systems Acquisition Life Cycle

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
