BAYER BUILT WOODWORKS is looking for someone with an electrical background to be an Industrial Automation Maintenance Technician who is interested in:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Scheduled working hours are based on seasonality of Bayer Built

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance of automated woodworking machinery including, but not limited to: CNC, saws, conveyors, finishing equipment, etc.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, fluid, and hydraulic systems
  • Developing, testing, integrating and debugging Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCโ€™s), Robot specific programs, visions systems, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIโ€™s) into Robotic and Automation Systems
  • Developing, implementing and troubleshooting PLC's and Robotic controlled automation systems
  • Assisting in the design and maintenance of comprehensive electrical controls systems for automated production lines in the facility
  • Aiding in the overall design of the system including control panels, field devices, and schematics detailing
  • Programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCโ€™s) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIโ€™s)
  • Assisting the maintenance team with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on existing production equipment
  • Conducting rigorous testing and validation of robotic systems to verify functionality, performance, and safety standards
  • Preparing comprehensive documentation, such as: technical specifications, operation manuals, and project reports
  • Completing facility maintenance as needed

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT

  • General electrical knowledge of AC, DC, and Servo systems
  • Familiarity with robotic hardware and software components, including sensors, actuators, vision systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's)
  • Strong understanding of robotics principles, kinematics, dynamics, and control systems
  • Fluent in programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCโ€™s), Vision Systems, Human Machine Interface (HMIโ€™s)
